I am something of a coffee sommelier, and I have multiple ways of crafting coffee. I buy various beans and enjoy coffee to a great degree. When I was given Mauicacaoii and read about the multiple ingredients in it I was not enthused. It was less than exciting for me, I know about hawaiian coffee. But I didn't really recognize the other ingredients but Macadamia (and I don't like flavored coffees). The first cup left me cold as I thought it was a cup of hot chocolate, but I was wrong! I did a cupping of the coffee and it hit about 78 (that's a good score from me!). What is interesting is that Mauicacaoii is a lot like wine! The first taste is floral. A sort of "green/tropical" flavor, There is a smoothness to the coffee coming from the Macadamia. And that is followed by a rich coffee taste and as you go to the bottom of the cup it becomes stronger with the cacao. I actually like the taste of cacao. I now mix Mauicacaoii with some of my other morning coffees and get a really delicious and healthy coffee for myself.

Iam the owner of King's Kraft Coffee in Poway, California. I roast and taste a wide variety of coffees on an on-going basis. When I first tried Mauicacaoii I thought it was one of the most interesting coffees I had ever tasted. But i got something else from the coffee. I played in the NFL for 11 years and my injuries were many. I was amazed at the way I felt from this coffee. I had a little bit more energy and a sense of focus that I really enjoyed. It is now my morning go to! I encourage anyone who has body issues to buy a "taster" bag and see if it helps you.
